Cash for Appliance Program in Your State

According to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 you may be eligible to receive rebates from your state for the purchase of new ENERGY STAR qualified appliances. Under this program, eligible consumers can receive rebates to buy new energy-efficient appliances when they replace used appliances.

Each state has selected its own list of ENERGY STAR qualified products to rebate, based on the DOE list of recommended appliances:

Refrigerators
Central air conditioners
Room air conditioners
Clothes washers
Water heaters
Dishwashers
Freezers
Furnaces (oil and gas)
Heat pumps (air source and geothermal)
Boilers

As of early July 2010 some states have exhausted their funds for rebates. The following states are still participating in the cash for appliance program. (Some states will end the program shortly so act quickly!)
